Sailor Moon begins, as almost everyone knows, as a young and childish crybaby. Luna, her talking cat, first finds her and tells her that it is her destiny to become Sailor Moon and fight against evil. As time progresses, she becomes stronger (although still carrying most of her original traits) and learns
to fight and deal with this new world around her. Her story is one of the most romantic ones I have ever heard. She learns eventually that she was once the princess of the moon, and her mother, Queen Serenity was the leader of the moon kingdom which spanned our galaxia. (so ya, she was pretty powerful). This kingdom
existed for 1000 years, the silver imperium moon crystal keeping all of it's subjects youthful and strong. At one point, the Negaverse, an evil empire began to overtake the people of the earth and brainwash them into working for this evil empire. Meanwhile, on the kingdom of the moon, princess serenity (Sailor Moon) fell in
love with the prince of the Earth - Prince Endymion. However, it was forbidden for those on the moon to love those on earth (I don't know why - for such an advanced society this seems a bit odd doesn't it?) On the day of a celebration, (it is never made clear whether it is Princess Serenity's birthday or some other celebration)
the Negeverse attacks the moon kingdom using all of the brainwashed people of the earth as their fighters and slaves. Led by Queen Beryl and Metalia (an evil entity containing many evil spirits) they cause great destruction to the moon kingdom, tearing it apart. During this time, Prince Endymion and Princess Serenity are killed when
Prince Endymion tries to protect her from Queen Beryl. The other Sailor Soldiers are also killed trying to fight against Queen Metalia. In desperation and sorrow, Queen Serenity uses all of her strength to seal EVERYONE into the silver imperium crystal to be reborn on earth, 1000 years later. With the last of her strength she asks Luna and Artemis (the guardian cat of Sailor Venus) to watch over the princess and
ensure that the Negaverse never breaks free from it's seal. She dies, and Sailor Moon, along with her protectors and enemies are sent to a new life on Earth.
